Moose With Red Antlers, “Alces, alces gigas.”

The life size moose is made of drift wood and choke cherry branches. I gathered the wood along the rivers of Jackson Hole, and the pieces of wood transformed by water became the story of a moose living close to water and close to forests. Its antlers are made of resin and painted red. They hint at the time of year when males rub the velvet off their antlers, the new blood tainting them red.
